Celestial Stars Christmas Garland Tutorial

Celestial Stars Christmas Garland Tutorial

One of the most special parts of the holiday season are the memories we make doing holiday crafts. From grade school yarn popcicle pine trees, to handpainted ornaments, to glitter bombs galor, there is a crafty treat suitable for everyone of every age. For me, that holiday craft love is found in paper crafts.

Not only are paper crafts extremely affordable, they allow for easy do overs and an abundance of materials. No need to fear those perfectionist tendencies or critics! Paper crafts are meant to be heartfelt, imperfectly perfect creations.

Let's get crafty, hehe.

1. Gather your materials: scissors, star hole punchers (I use the 1-inch), thimble, large guage sewing needle, cardstock craft paper, glittery yarn

2. Using the largest hole punch, punch stars out of the cardstock paper. When finished, thread your needle.

Tip: You can use a needle threader to easily thread the eye with the thick thread

Make sure it's at least 1 yard of thread. You can make it longer if you choose, and enjoy a longer term daily project!

3. Take two stars and line them up.

4. Poke the needle through the stars, just slightly more to the center-top of the star, rather than the exact middle. This will leave room for the second hole, like sewing a button.

5. Adjust the star as needed, and poke the second hole and pull the thread through.

6. Adjust the star and repeat step 5 until your garland is complete. Have fun with different shapes and threaded designs!

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all! Wishing you and your loved ones a peaceful and joyous holiday season.

Warm wishes,

Brittney
